Welcome to the Hiring Snapshot Field Notes
Playbooks, case studies, and field notes for staffing agencies and recruiters who want their pipeline to fill itself.
This blog is the field journal for the Hiring Snapshot. We publish what we see working — and what we see failing — across staffing agencies, executive recruiters, RPO providers, and contract recruiting firms using the snapshot in their GoHighLevel accounts.
No fluff. No “5 ways to grow your business.” Just the specific automations, workflow tweaks, and field reports we’ve watched produce measurable change.
New to the snapshot?
Start with the launch guide and the 5 staffing automations post. Those two cover 80% of what you need to ship in your first 30 days.
What you’ll find here
- Playbooks — specific automation patterns we’ve watched work (e.g., the “60-day review-ask” cadence, the “credentialing watcher” for healthcare staffing, the “quarterly partner check-in” for executive search)
- Case studies — illustrative deployments showing what changed and what didn’t. We’re honest about what we don’t move.
- Comparisons — vs. Bullhorn, Loxo, JobAdder, etc. We sell the snapshot, but our comparisons are honest about where competing tools win.
- Compliance notes — TCPA, EEOC, FCRA, state-specific. The stuff that’s boring until it isn’t.
- Field reports — failures we’ve seen and what to do about them.
How we write
Three rules:
- Specifics, not generalities. “Time-to-fill dropped 38%” beats “significantly faster hiring.” Numbers, timeframes, named systems.
- Honest about limits. If something didn’t move in 90 days, we say so. Recruiting is a long-cycle business — pretending otherwise wastes your time.
- Operator voice. Written for someone running a 4-person executive search or a 30-recruiter staffing branch — not for someone writing a marketing strategy deck.
If you’re a staffing-agency owner, recruiting lead, or GHL agency reselling this snapshot to clients, you’re the audience. Subscribe to the email digest if you want monthly updates without the blog-reader habit.
Want to share a field report?
If you’ve deployed the snapshot and have something interesting to share — a pattern that worked, a configuration that surprised you, a place where you wish the snapshot was more opinionated — email us at support@hiringsnapshotforghl.com. We publish field reports from operators (anonymized if preferred). It helps the rest of the community.
Let’s get to work.
